This video plays out an all-too-common scenario for low wage workers: Nia, a healthcare employee, is offered a promotion and raise, only to realize that the increased income and resulting loss of benefits will decrease her overall earnings. Reluctantly, she has to turn down the offer. Nia's example is used to simply and succinctly explain Benefits Cliffs, and show how they are relevant to all audiences- employees and employers.
